Fire Risk Reference Data
The Fire Risk reference data window can be accessed by navigating to Health and Safety > Fire Risk > Fire Risk, or by clicking Manage Reference Data in the Tasks panel of a fire risk record.
Note: You must have a role with the FireRiskReferenceData permission to access this window.
Refer to Manage Reference Data for further information on using reference data screens.
The following reference data is available:
Use this reference data to define the questions to be used during a fire risk survey. The questions are split into headers, sections, questions and answers.
Questions help provide a more rounded and consistent set of information for inspections, significant findings and audits. Questions can have an open free text answer, a measurement-based answer or answers to select from a given list created prior to the survey.
The questions can be weighted and scored, the score itself used to display risk bands using Risk Formulae.
The questionnaire components are described in the following table.
Component | Description |
---|---|
Headers |
The main header under which a questionnaire is organised. A header can be applied to a type of location, meaning that questions from particular headers can only be used to perform questionnaires on a particular type of location (for example: if a header’s supported location is a room, then that part of the questionnaire can only be used to perform an assessment at that type of location). |
Sections | Sections of the questionnaire. Each section has a position to organise where in the questionnaire the section appears. |
Questions | The questions used to perform the assessment. Questions can be made mandatory and given a weighting and a score. |
Answers |
Answers can be of three types:
|
Phrases | Phrases are used to aid the answering of questions when performing an assessment. They are attached to a question and can be edited once included in the assessment. They can be added to text-based answers and is displayed in the body of the answer. |
Annotations |
Annotations represent notes taken on potential recommendations, actions or observations noted during the assessment. Monetary notes can be added through annotations where an estimated and actual cost can be applied. Annotations can be added to all types of answers, and the types and amounts added to annotations are summarised in the Actions Summary on the Welcome screen. |
Use this reference data to define significant findings, which are used to provide the results of a fire risk survey. There are sets of questions used to provide consistent results and descriptions. The questions can also be weighted by score, the score itself used to display risk bands using Risk Formulae.
